Discovery and Utilization of Titanium

It is said that human started to use copper more than 6000years ago.
Steel was used about 4000years ago.
Comparing to these long histories. Aluminum started to be used only 100years ago. How about titanium?
The extraction method of titanium from the ore was discovered 1910.
But this method could extract titanium only a little amount.
　Industry base production of titanium was developed at 1948.
Yes, titanium has only 50 years history.
Titanium is the baby or young metal which has unlimited possibilities.

Titanium ore was discovered by English priest William Gregor at the sea shore in 1791, about 200years ago.

4 years later (1795), German chemist M. H. Klaproth named the ore “TITAN” which comes from Greek mythology who was strong and brave giant.
Both Gregor and Klaproth could not extract titanium element.
